This index of economic freedom from the
Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal also places
China behind India, but ahead of Russia. Surprisingly, Pakistan's
and Tanzania's economic freedem are ranked higher than China's or
India's. Both China and India are ranked much lower in economic
freedom than typical European countries and, of course, the United
States of America. |
| Comment: It is
interesting to compare the index of economic freedom from different
sources, such as the Fraser Institute and the Heritage Foundation.
