Gross Regional Product by Province in 2004 [sort]

Per Capita (in 1000 Yuan/RMB)

Total (in 100 Billion Yuan/RMB)

Source: China Statistical Yearbook, 2005, Table 3-10
Note: At current prices.

This figure depicts the huge differences between Chinese provinces in their economic power. While in 2004, Guangdong had a Gross Regional Product of almost 1,604 Billion Yuan/RMB, only 211 Billion Yuan/RMB were reported from Tibet.

Of course, there are great problems with China's regional economic statistics; but it is still obvious that there are huge economic discrepancies in China.
