This index of economic freedom from the Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal places China behind India, but ahead of Russia. Not everyone might agree with these rankings. For instance, it is somewhat surprising that Pakistan's, Tanzania's or Kenya's economic freedom are ranked higher than China's or India's. Both China and India are ranked much lower in economic freedom than typical European countries (in blue color) and, of course, the United States of America. |
