According to the 2000 Population Census, Chinese males have a surprisingly high life expectancy - ranging between 76 years in Shanghai and 62 years in Tibet. Obviously, life expectancy is correlated highly with economic development, as males in highly developed coastal provinces have much higher life expectancy than in interior or western provinces. |
