1984, January

In January 1984 China becomes a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria. Since then, China has declared it would apply IAEA safeguards to nuclear exports. The China Atomic Energy Authoritz (CAEA), which is the regulatory agency for China's nuclear industry, is in charge of cooperation with the IAEA. Norris, Robert S. / Kristensen, Hans M.
